Volleyball Recap: Lingleville Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Lingleville was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Richland Springs on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals lost 3-0 to the Lipan Indians on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Lingleville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

Lingleville's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4. As for Lipan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lingleville will head out to square off against Oglesby at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lipan, they will venture away from home to face off against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
