Volleyball Game Preview: USC Hybrid Trojans vs. New Designs University Park Cardinals

The USC Hybrid Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the New Designs University Park Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. USC Hybrid is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Friday, USC Hybrid got the win against Brio College Prep by a conclusive 3-0.

USC Hybrid walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-17.

Francisco Sandoval and Anthony Ramirez were among the main playmakers for USC Hybrid as the former had 32 digs and three aces and the latter had five aces, four digs, and two blocks. Sandoval is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games he's played. Elsworth Felix was another key player, getting 14 kills.

They weren't the only good server: USC Hybrid was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, New Designs University Park waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Boxers.

New Designs University Park was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20.

New Designs University Park's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for USC Hybrid, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
