Football Recap: Cole Cougars vs. Poteet Aggies
After losing to Poteet the last time they met, Cole decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cole Cougars blew past the Poteet Aggies 42-14 on Friday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.
Zachary Blue was his usual excellent self, rushing for 125 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Powell, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.
The victory made it two in a row for Cole and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Poteet, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
Cole will welcome Crystal City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poteet, they will venture away from home to challenge Hondo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
