Soccer Game Preview: Blythewood vs. West Florence

Blythewood has won five straight games at home, while West Florence has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Bengals will welcome the Knights at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Blythewood's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five contests.

Blythewood's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on April 11th. Everything went their way against Lugoff-Elgin as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Blythewood's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matchups.

Their offense was hitting Lugoff-Elgin from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Regan Flynn led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, West Florence was able to grind out a solid win over Sumter on Monday, taking the game 2-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering West Florence's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Sumter are ranked 144th).

Blythewood's victory bumped their record up to 13-1-1. As for West Florence, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Blythewood came out on top in a nail-biter against West Florence in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
