Softball Recap: Caravel Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Caravel Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Laurel Bulldogs 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Zayda Rocke, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Caravel Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Laurel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caravel Academy will challenge Newark Charter School at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Laurel, they will take on Conrad Science at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
