Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Fairfield Falcons on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunderbirds considering their 23-point performance the contest before.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Rhylee Haskins. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 13 on her way to 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Yareli Martinez, who posted 11 points.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Fairfield, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline has already played their next game (against Chaparral), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fairfield will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
