The Logansport Berries were the 62-56 winner over the McCutcheon Mavericks when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Logansport received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 68-52 to McCutcheon.

Logansport lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Taylor, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Taylor pulled down eight or more rebounds. Carson Dubes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.

Logansport now has a losing record at 6-7. As for McCutcheon, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.

Logansport won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lewis Cass at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Lewis Cass focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. As for McCutcheon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Benton Central is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
