Soccer Recap: Sahuarita Comes Up Short

If Sahuarita was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Sabino last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sahuarita Mustangs fell just short of the Flowing Wells Caballeros by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Caballeros recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Sahuarita's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Flowing Wells, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sahuarita will venture away from home to square off against Pueblo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Flowing Wells, they will head out to take on Amphitheater at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
