Volleyball Recap: Amador Valley Comes Up Short

Amador Valley lost to Livermore on April 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dons fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 3-2. While the Dons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cowboys 25-13 in the first set.

Amador Valley actually scored more points across those five sets (99-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Amador Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Livermore, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Amador Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe San Ramon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Livermore will take on rival Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
