Davenport came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Navarro Panthers 49-30. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Panthers are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davenport pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for Navarro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-10.
