League recap: Lecluyse races to league-leading run for St. James Academy

Jake Lecluyse of St. James Academy ran for the longest rushing play in Freelance this season against Ottawa last week. Lecluyse scampered for 63 yards on the play and finished with 71 on the day as his team topped the Cyclones.

St. James Academy scaled the state rankings by moving to 71 from 97 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tom Radke's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Ottawa 42-14.

The Thunder's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex King threw for 146 yards and Connor Moore had 62 yards receiving. On the ground Jake Bade chipped in 80 yards. Noah Zych helped St. James Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 33 yards.

Moore was the best wideout in the league this week as St. James Academy beat Rob Hedrick's team. Moore racked up 2 receptions for 62 yards. Zych helped St. James Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 33 yards.

St. James Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Thunder feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 470 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Keith Winger has 13 catches for 224 yards.

The Thunder took down the Cyclones 42-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. King ran for 43 yards during the win.
