Volleyball Game Preview: Miami Beach Hi-Tides vs. Coral Gables Cavaliers

The Miami Beach Hi-Tides will head out to face off against the Coral Gables Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Miami Beach sitting on five straight wins and Coral Gables on four.

On Friday, Miami Beach got the win against TERRA Environmental by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Miami Beach's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Coral Gables made easy work of Sunset on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 27-25, 25-14.

Miami Beach pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Coral Gables, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Miami Beach couldn't quite get it done against Coral Gables when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Hi-Tides avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
