Soccer Recap: Vacaville Christian Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highlands, Vacaville Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Golden Sierra Grizzlies with a sharp 5-2 victory. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 win the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Vacaville Christian hit Golden Sierra with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Angelo Lugo (2), Brody Underwood, Manny Cox, and Ethan Sonoiki.

Vacaville Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Golden Sierra, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Vacaville Christian will take on Mesa Verde in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Golden Sierra has already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Colfax on the 13th.
