New Trier waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They secured a 63-57 W over the Evanston Wildkits. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-41 back in December of 2024.

New Trier pushed their record up to 13-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Evanston, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-17 record.

New Trier and Evanston should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. New Trier will challenge Oak Park-River Forest at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday up 309 places (119 vs. 428). Meanwhile, Evanston (ranked 199th) will meet Warren Township (ranked 402nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
