Volleyball Recap: Churubusco Takes a Loss

Churubusco lost against Angola back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Hornets, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-14.

Kelsee Coil paced Churubusco's offense, picking up eight kills. Coil got some help from Alyssa Marks and her 12 assists. Coil was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Churubusco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Angola, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churubusco will host West Noble at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Angola, they will welcome McCutcheon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
