After losing to Shorecrest the last time they met, Shorewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Stormrays who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The Shorewood Stormrays got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Shorecrest Scots' two. Given Shorewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Shorecrest are ranked 77th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shorewood's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2-1. As for Shorecrest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-2 record this season.

Shorewood will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Edmonds-Woodway at 7:00 p.m. Edmonds-Woodway will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Shorewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shorecrest, they will head out on the road to take on Mount Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
