Football Recap: Chester County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chester County played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of the McKenzie Rebels. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost five in a row.

Grayson Stewart threw for 36 yards. Jayden Williams was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Cole Brown was his usual excellent self, throwing for 278 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries for McKenzie. Brown also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Avery Brown was Cole's top target, picking up 111 receiving yards and two TDs.

Chester County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for McKenzie, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Chester County will square off against Dyer County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Choctaws' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McKenzie, they will face off against Collinwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
