Baseball Recap: Claude Takes a Loss

Claude blew Shamrock out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Shamrock got their revenge. Claude fell just short of Shamrock by a score of 11-9. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Brooks Myers and Dk Robison did some serious damage despite the final result: Myers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Robison went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those hits were Robison's first of the season. Korbin Jackson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Claude always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Claude's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Shamrock, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Claude had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
