Softball Preview: Maryville Spoofhounds vs. Worth County Tigers        
        
		
             The Maryville Spoofhounds have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Worth County Tigers at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Worth County took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Maryville, who comes in off a win.
 Last Thursday,  everything went Maryville's way against St. Pius X as Maryville made off with  an  11-4 win.
  Emma Sprague was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   nine  hits. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and a  triple.
 In other batting news, Maryville got a big performance out of  Alyssa Cunningham, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Marriah Williams, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Maryville was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Worth County was not able to break out of their rough patch  last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  5-4 to Pattonsburg, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
 Maryville is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record  this season. As for Worth County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
