Softball Recap: Idaho City Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Idaho City was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Glenns Ferry Pilots, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pilots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

Taylor Vigeant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Idaho City and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Glenns Ferry, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Idaho City will venture away from home to face off against Vision at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Idaho City is facing Vision at the right time seeing as Vision is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Glenns Ferry, they will head out on the road to take on Garden Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pilots will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
