Basketball Recap: Carroll Christian Gets the Win

While Carroll Christian has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Friday thanks to Joanna Mathews. Carroll Christian blew past the Arlington Baptist Eagles 62-37 thanks in part to Mathews, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Carroll Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Joelle Mathews, who posted seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Carroll Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Arlington Baptist, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
