Football Recap: Encinal Comes Up Short

Encinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 13-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Lorenzo Grizzlies. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Encinal's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for San Lorenzo, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Encinal will venture away from home to challenge Arroyo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jets will need to watch out since the Dons have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for San Lorenzo, they are taking a road trip to take on American at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
