Softball Recap: Port Huron Red Hawks vs. Mott Marauders
If Port Huron was feeling good fresh off their 19-3 takedown of Roseville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Hawks lost 11-1 to the Mott Marauders on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marauders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in April.
Port Huron saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Thomas' first of the season.
Port Huron's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for Mott, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-1 record this season.
