Game recap: Empire High School Football Team defeats Douglas

DOUGLAS, Ariz. - Empire (Tucson, Ariz.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as Chance Hatfield ran for a touchdown with with under a minute left in the second quarter, bringing the team to victory over Douglas (Ariz.) 53-18.

After taking the lead on a Hatfield touchdown run in the second quarter, the Ravens led 18-12 at the half.

Empire expanded its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. EHS scored five times in the third, including once on a kick return touchdown by Sean Fitzsimmons.

Hatfield played well for the Tucson school in the victory. The senior running back ran for five touchdowns. He has now scored 15 touchdowns on the season.

With the win the Ravens extended their winning streak to four games. The loss was the third in a row for the Bulldogs.
