Basketball Recap: Springfield International Charter School Comes Up Short at Home Against Holyoke

Springfield International Charter School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 76-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holyoke Purple Knights on Monday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Calvin Godbolt went supernova for Holyoke, going 12 of 25 on his way to 34 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan King-Perilli, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield International Charter School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pope Francis Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Holyoke and Chicopee will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
