Basketball Recap: Lakes Beats Timberline for Their Third Straight Win

Lakes entered their tilt with Timberline on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blazers, sneaking past 79-76. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lancers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Blazers are ranked 151st).

Lakes' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Timberline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Lakes will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Seattle at 8:30 p.m. on the 30th. Timberline will take on Skyview in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blazers will need to watch out since the Storm have now posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
