Basketball Recap: Chico Comes Up Short

Chico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Muenster Hornets 56-25. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 832nd, while the Hornets are ranked 196th).

Chico's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Muenster, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Chico will square off against Collinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Muenster, they will take on Era at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
