Soccer Recap: Hazleton Area Comes Up Short

Hazleton Area managed to keep up with Lake-Lehman until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars lost 5-2 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, Hazleton Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Lake-Lehman are ranked seventh).

Hazleton Area is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Lake-Lehman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Hazleton Area didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Crestwood on the 11th. As for Lake-Lehman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Dallas on the 13th.
