Fort Chiswell lost to Giles back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Fort Chiswell Pioneers put the hurt on the Giles Spartans with a sharp 74-53 win. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Fort Chiswell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Armbrister, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and three steals. Brayden Billings was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Fort Chiswell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Fort Chiswell's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Giles, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Fort Chiswell has already played their next game, a 53-50 victory against Bland County on the 17th. As for Giles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 71-36 loss against Narrows on the 16th.
