Softball Recap: North Greene Triumphs

North Greene lost to Jefferson County back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since March 13th.

North Greene is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson County, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-12.

North Greene has already played their next game (against Knox Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Jefferson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 loss against Cocke County on the 18th.
