Preview: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. South Milwaukee Rockets
The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the South Milwaukee Rockets at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lakeside Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Even though Lake Mills scored an imposing 60 points on Thursday, Lakeside Lutheran still came out on top. Lakeside Lutheran slipped by Lake Mills 61-60.
Kaycee Guzman was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Wes Rahn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, South Milwaukee came up short against Greenfield on Friday and fell 63-54. South Milwaukee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lakeside Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for South Milwaukee, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Lakeside Lutheran didn't have too much breathing room in their match against South Milwaukee in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 79-75 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeside Lutheran since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
