Baseball Recap: Water Valley's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Water Valley's last matchup with Tishomingo County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Braves, falling 17-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Water Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allen Paysinger, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Another was Parker Chapman, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Water Valley's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Tishomingo County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-12.

Looking ahead, Water Valley is taking a road trip to take on Cleveland Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tishomingo County, they will be playing at home against Kossuth at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
