Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Carlmont's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carlmont can now relate to. They came up short against the Leigh Longhorns on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Scots have suffered since April 18th.

While Carlmont had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Aiden Sarin was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 13 digs and one assist.

Carlmont moved to 24-16 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Leigh, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-8.

Carlmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leigh, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Branham on the 17th.
