Soccer Game Preview: Macon County vs. Smith County

The Macon County Tigers will face off against the Smith County Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Macon County knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Smith County likes a good challenge.

Macon County barely beat White House the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Blue Devils on Thursday. Considering Macon County have won four contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Smith County's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 4-2 to Jackson County.

Zane Felice and Adyn Elliott scored both of Smith County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Macon County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Smith County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-8-1.
