Football Game Preview: Franklin Yellowjackets vs. Tokay Tigers + How To Watch

The Franklin Yellowjackets will square off against the Tokay Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin has given up an average of 30.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Franklin is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They were beaten by Chavez 61-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 827th, while the Titans are ranked 216th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tokay). Everything went their way against Bear Creek on Friday as they made off with a 42-19 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tokay, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Franklin might still be hurting after the 41-19 loss they got from Tokay in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Yellowjackets, Jeremiah Rodriguez (who rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
