Basketball Recap: Conard Sets Scoring Season-High Against Immaculate

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conard). Everything went their way against the Immaculate Mustangs on Saturday as the Conard Red Wolves made off with a 68-48 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Wolves who have now won six contests in a row.

Despite the defeat, Immaculate saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendra Foy posted 23 points. The game was Foy's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Asmani, who had ten points.

Conard's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Immaculate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conard will face off against Bristol Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Immaculate, they will take on Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
