Football Recap: Ingleside Falls Despite Big Games from Landon Younk and Jayden Techur + How To Watch

Ingleside extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They lost 33-7 to the Robstown Cottonpickers. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cottonpickers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ingleside's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Techur, who picked up 146 receiving yards and one TD, and Landon Younk, who threw for 226 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.4% of his passes. Techur was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards.

As for Robstown, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

It was another big night for Timothy Sanchez, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Coincidentally, Ingleside and Robstown will both be playing Rockport-Fulton the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cottonpickers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
