Football Recap: Ingleside Falls Despite Big Games from Landon Younk and Jayden Techur + How To Watch

Ingleside extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They came up short against the Robstown Cottonpickers, falling 33-7. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cottonpickers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ingleside's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Techur and Landon Younk. Techur picked up 146 receiving yards and one score, while Younk threw for 226 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.4% of his passes. Techur showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 55 yards.

As for Robstown, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games.

Timothy Sanchez produced another solid performance picking up 104 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 104 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Coincidentally, Ingleside and Robstown will both be playing Rockport-Fulton the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cottonpickers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
