Basketball Game Preview: Pebble Hills Spartans vs. Eastlake Falcons

Pebble Hills and Eastlake are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Pebble Hills Spartans will square off against the Eastlake Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastlake took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pebble Hills, who comes in off a win.

Pebble Hills took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 60-28 win over Socorro. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1008th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Eastlake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 58-53 to Franklin.

Pebble Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Eastlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.

Pebble Hills might still be hurting after the 56-33 loss they got from Eastlake in their previous matchup on January 7th. Can Pebble Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
