Soccer Game Preview: Fuquay - Varina vs. Smithfield-Selma + How To Watch

The Fuquay - Varina Bengals will challenge the Smithfield-Selma Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fuquay - Varina had taken Clayton down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Bengals took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Fuquay - Varina's Mateusz Cebulak and Clayton's Oscar Cruz and Gabe Lara were all carded.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Smithfield-Selma was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and South Garner finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Smithfield-Selma's record moves to 6-7-2. As for Fuquay - Varina, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-3.
