Baseball Recap: Henderson Takes a Loss

Henderson dropped down to 9-4 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 8-0 to the Great Valley Patriots. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

As for Great Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Great Valley's part, Ty Callahan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Callahan has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other pitching news, Nate Taylor looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Hounsell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ryan Spiess, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
