She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abigail Middleton, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Janesville Parker narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Sun Prairie West 6-5.
Maycee Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Martin was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenedi Pryne, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Emma Terry was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Janesville Parker hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sun Prairie West struck out 14 times.
Beloit Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Janesville Parker, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Beloit Memorial came out on top in a nail-biter against Janesville Parker when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Purple Knights repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
