Volleyball Recap: Central Davidson Wins Going Away Against T.W. Andrews

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Randleman, Central Davidson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Central Davidson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Central Davidson found their leader in sophomore Addison Hayes, who had ten digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Hayes. Another player making a difference was Cayman James, who had 13 digs.

Central Davidson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 11-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Central Davidson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for T.W. Andrews, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Central Davidson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Wheatmore on the 6th. As for T.W. Andrews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Montgomery Central on the 7th.
