Volleyball Recap: Miller Gets the Win + How To Watch

Miller proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Parkston Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rustlers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Miller wouldn't go down easily and took Parkston into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 21-25, 15-11.

Emma Pugh paced Miller's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pugh got some help from Gracen Werdel and her 43 assists. Kate Lichty controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Parkston, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5.

Coming up, Miller will be playing at home against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkston, they will head out to square off against Ethan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
