Basketball Recap: Plainview Comes Up Short

If Plainview was riding high fresh off their 52-19 takedown of Montgomery on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets were beaten by the Buckeye Panthers 70-26 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Panthers are ranked 65th).

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Buckeye, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

Coming up, Plainview will venture away from home to take on DeRidder at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Buckeye, they will host Bunkie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
