Softball Recap: Windermere Find Success

Windermere got themselves on the board against West Orange on Friday, but West Orange never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the West Orange Warriors. The Wolverines have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Lauren Harper looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Windermere got a massive performance out of Mollie Downes, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Downes a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Addison Walker, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3.

Windermere's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Windermere will welcome Lake Howell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Orange, they will square off against Ocoee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
