Football Game Preview: Alcoa Tornadoes vs. Carter Green Hornets + How To Watch

Alcoa has won 11 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Carter has won 11 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Tornadoes will welcome the Green Hornets at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Alcoa's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.

Alcoa's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-0 win over Heritage. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won seven games by 31 points or more so far this season.

Thomas Manu continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Alcoa's leading receiver Jacolby Cooper was Manu's top target yet again, picking up 34 receiving yards, while also rushing for 38 yards and one score.

Alcoa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Micah Jones and Demauri Dubose. Another thorn in Heritage's side was Kenny Harris, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (4.5 for loss).

Meanwhile, Carter didn't have too much trouble with Austin-East on Friday as they won 41-27. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Green Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 268th).

Alcoa's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Carter, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
