Basketball Game Preview: Perry Panthers vs. Tuslaw Mustangs

The Perry Panthers will challenge the Tuslaw Mustangs at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Perry is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Perry was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Dover. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crimson Tornadoes 10-4 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tuslaw). They blew past Fairless 74-37 on Wednesday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Tuslaw has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Perry didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Tuslaw when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. Does Perry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tuslaw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
