Basketball Recap: Eli Mamanta Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Gilead

Abundant Life Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 49-45 win over Gilead.

Abundant Life Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Mamanta, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Mamanta a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Victor Hurtado, who had eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Abundant Life Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Gilead, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Abundant Life Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-30 victory against Harmony Christian on the 10th. Gilead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
