Clearfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Central Dragons with a sharp  14-8 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Bison have posted  against the Dragons since April 11, 2019.
  Hayden Rumsky and  O'Brian Owens did most of the damage at the plate:  Rumsky  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances, while  Owens  scored three  runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave  Rumsky a new career-high in  RBI (three). Another player making a difference was  Kam Kushner, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Looking ahead, Clearfield will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Bellefonte  at 4:30  p.m. The  game will  give Bellefonte their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Central, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Penns Valley Area  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. This will also be Penns Valley Area's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
