Basketball Recap: Deer River Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After losing to South Ridge the last time they met, Deer River decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Deer River Warriors walked away with a 67-55 victory over the South Ridge Panthers on Tuesday.

Deer River is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for South Ridge, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Deer River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 90-37 loss against Mountain Iron-Buhl on the 23rd. South Ridge has also already played their next contest (against Mesabi East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
